Getting to know Chip a little better…

Chip was born and raised in Newnan. He graduated from Newnan High School and attended Auburn University where he earned a BA in Speech Communications. After Graduating from Auburn in 1987, Chip attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.  He graduated from Southwestern in 1990 with a Master of Divinity. Following seminary Chip served churches in North Carolina, Alabama and Georgia as Youth Pastor and finally as a Senior Pastor.

Chip has served as a director for the Newnan Coweta Board of Realtors and is a member of the Newnan Kiwanis Club where he has also served as a director.

Chip is currently serving as LifePlan Pastor at SouthCrest Church in Newnan. SouthCrest is a church that was begun in 2000 and has witnessed tremendous growth over the past few years. Chip met and fell in love with his wife, Jo Ellen, while a student at Auburn. Jo Ellen is a mathematics teacher at Newnan High School where she also serves as head of the Math Department. Chip and Jo Ellen have two awesome daughters.
