What's your preference? Being from Brooklyn and living in Brownstones, I actually love homes with great architectural details. Homes with character and within historic districts...I know this is what led me to the West End when I was looking to buy :-) 

Right in the city of Atlanta you can find HUGE bungalows(don't let the word scare you, all are not small with only 1 bath) In the West End, you'll find very spacious (2000sq ft +) bungalows...with all the beautiful trim! It's the little things that caught my eye; pocket doors, butler pantries, glass knobs (which cost a fortune on Ebay and restoration catalogs), rocking chair front porch- even ATTIC FANS to cool the house... and as you can see from this summer's heat, you'll need them! 

This is just one beautiful neighborhood I fell in love with. Others are East Atlanta, Little 5 Points, VA Highlands, Kirkwood, Castleberry... the list could go on and on :-)
